The following page will give provide basic information essential to the operation of your Security System. Please refer to the section appropriate for your system.

 
 
Burglar Alarm Systems.
   

BASIC DEFINITIONS

  1. Away mode: Arm all zones
  2. Stay mode: Arm only perimeter zones (doors & windows), allowing occupants to stay in the house and they will not trip the alarm.
  3. Bypass Zone: Instruct the alarm system to ignore a particular zone that has a fault.
  4. Door Chime: When enabled, the keypad will beep when a door is opened and the system is in a disarmed state. The system will not notify the central station.
  5. 24 Hour Zone: This is a zone that is constantly monitored, even when the system is disarmed. For example, a smoke detector would be configured as a 24 hour zone.

BASIC COMMANDS AND PROCEDURES

  • If you alarm is ringing for any reason enter your code and the (1) key to turn it off.
  • To clear any alarm events after alarm dials to central station, enter your code and the (1) key again.
  • To Arm your system: Enter your code and (2) key for AWAY mode.
  • To Arm your system: Enter your code and (3) key for STAY mode.
  • To Bypass a zone: Enter your code, bypass key (6), and the two digit zone number.
  • To enable or disable door chime: Enter your code, and (9)
  • If you system says AC FAIL or NO AC, check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the receptacle has power.
  • If your system displays low battery or low batt, check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the receptacle has power. If the low battery persists for greater than 24 hours, call CSG for service
  • If your keypad displays "Fail Comm, or FC" check your phone to see if you have dial tone. If no dial tone, contact the phone company to check your phone service. If a problem is found with the phone line, after phone service is re-established you may need to arm the system, set off the alarm by opening a door or window, then disarm the system. That should clear the error.
  • If you have a zone fault, that means that a door or window is open. Check the doors or windows associated with that zone. If you cannot correct the condition, call CSG for service.

BASIC COMMANDS AND PROCEDURES

  • If you alarm is ringing for any reason enter your code to turn it off.
  • To clear any alarm events after alarm dials to central station, enter your code. Then press 9 to reset the system.
  • To Arm your system: Enter your code.
  • To Bypass a zone: Press the "S" key and enter the zone number. Some keypads may use a "DA" key and then enter the zone number. On some panels it will only take a 2 digit zone number, so enter "DA", "DA" - DA is also zero(0), then the zone.
  • To enable or disable door chime: Press and hold key 5 until it beeps.
  • If you find your system has all 3 lights flashing, and a code 1 is displayed, that indicates power failure/no power. Check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the receptacle has power.
  • If you find your system has all 3 lights flashing, and a code 2 is displayed, this indicates a weak battery. First, check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the receptacle has power. Allow the battery to recharge. If the low battery persists for greater than 24 hours, call CSG for service
  • If your keypad displays "Comm fail," check your phone to see if you have dial tone. If no dial tone, contact the phone company to check your phone service. Press and hold 9 to reset the system. If a problem is found with the phone line, after phone service is re-established you may need to arm the system, set off the alarm by opening a door or window, then disarm the system. That should permanently clear the error.
  • If you have a zone fault, that means that a door or window is open. Check the doors or windows associated with that zone. If you cannot correct the condition, call CSG for service.
  • TO CLEAR ALL SYSTEM ERRORS AND TROUBLE CONDITIONS PRESS THE (9) KEY AND HOLD UNTIL THE KEYPAD BEEPS. YOU STILL MUST CORRECT THE UNDERLYING CAUSE OF THE TROUBLE OTHERWISE THE KEYPAD WILL CONTINUE TO DISPLAY SYSTEM TROUBLE.

BASIC COMMANDS AND PROCEDURES

  • If you alarm is ringing for any reason enter your code and the (on/off) key to turn it off.
  • To clear any alarm events after alarm dials to central station, press the reset key.
  • To Arm your system: Enter your code and the (Exterior) key for away mode.
  • To Arm your system: Enter your code and (Interior) key for stay mode.
  • To Bypass a zone: Press Bypass key and the 2 digit zone number.
  • To enable or disable door chime: Press Function key, scroll down to chime, and press (On/OFF) key.
  • If you system says System Trouble (SYSTBL), press the (Function) key, scroll to System Trouble, and press the (On/Off) key. The keypad will now display the trouble. If it says AC FAIL, check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the wall receptacle has power. If your system displays low battery, check to see if the wall transformer is plugged in, and check the fuse or circuit breaker to ensure the wall receptacle has power. If the low battery persists for greater than 24 hours, call CSG for service

Dedicated Micros Digital Video Recorder.
   

  • From the System menus, you can set the date and time, shutdown the system, and archive video to the CD-Burner. The user should not change other settings without consulting with CSG, as other changes may affect the operation of your CCTV system.
  • To enter the system menu, press and hold the Mode/Menu key until system menu appears on the monitor. (Menu will not appear on PC’s). Newer models may have separate menu and mode keys.
  • Each press of the menu key will scroll to the next screen. Use the < > arrow keys to move cursor position. Use the vw keys to change values.
  • Continue pressing the menu mode key until you exit system menu. The DVR will return to normal operation.
